ESTJ careers want a floor and a standard: general manager, principal, operations director, military officer, chef-owner, an editor who still closes the book, public administrator, construction superintendent, retail lead, logistics. If there's no shop, you'll invent one in a place that didn't want a shop.

You can go as far as the org lets a plain speaker go. If they only promote charm, you'll be deputy forever. Get a shop of your own or a boss who likes results more than theater.

Watch becoming the culture's parent. Some teams need that for a season. They shouldn't need you to remain one after they grew. Hire people who can run it, then actually let them.

Next: look at two jobs and ask about decision rights and hours. Read ENTJ if you want more five-year helm and less Friday floor. Read ISTJ if you want the same standard in a quieter office.
