ISTP strengths aren't 'being chill.' The working strength is craft: you understand a mechanism by entering it, and you keep your options until the true fault shows. That's field medicine, repair, physical engineering, a kitchen line, instrument work, certain kinds of code. Chill is a side effect of competence, not a personality goal.
You're hard to panic and hard to fake. In an emergency of things, that's gold. In an emergency of feelings, borrow a script. Strength includes a borrowed script.
Independence is a gift until your only diet is your own shop. Let one person watch you work. Teaching the craft is more ISTP, not less. A method other hands can use.
Play is often how learning happens, the lock on a Sunday. Protect the play. Also ship. A forever-disassembled lock is a hobby. A reassembled one that still opens is a life.
At full strength you understand the mechanism and you can say when you'll be back. Calm in a live fault is gold. A silent exit after is a missing spec. Write the one page so the next person isn't starting from zero. Teaching the craft is more ISTP, not less.
