Lyric is Typewell's name for INFP. The letters are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. Introverted: you refill in private, even if you can be warm for a whole evening. Intuitive: you live in symbols, possible futures, and the what-if, sometimes at the expense of the parking meter. Feeling: the verdict comes from a private ethic, not from whoever argued loudest. Perceiving: you keep the door ajar. A plan that closes before the meaning arrives can feel like a small loss. Together that's a person whose inner life is busy and whose outer life is often a little behind on the dishes. This is a preference sketch, not a career fortune and not a pass to miss the rent. On an ordinary day you make small choices that look random and aren't. You pick the mug because of a memory attached to it. You abandon a grocery list because a side street had better light and the list can wait. You can sit with a song, a paragraph, or a half-finished idea for a long time because the tone still isn't right. People who like closed loops call that drift. You experience their deadlines as someone walking into the room with their shoes on. Both of you are trying to make a life. You're using different clocks. The flaky story is usually wrong. What's true is that you won't pretend a false yes is a yes.

Work has to fit a value more than it has to sound impressive. You can endure a dull task if it serves a story you believe. You can't endure a clever job that asks you to sell something you wouldn't give a friend. Writing, counseling, design, teaching, research with a point of view, nonprofit work, music, games, libraries: those come up because the inner document can meet an outer one. You stall in high-surveillance sales cultures and in any shop where the meeting is a performance of loyalty. A colleague who likes closing is a gift. You bring the why. Someone has to bring the date, and it doesn't always have to be you, in pain, at midnight.

In relationships you're sincere in a way that can scare people who dated as a sport. You want someone who can sit with the private stuff without rearranging it. You also test, quietly: is this person real, or a costume? The test can become a fog they can't pass. Say what you need in a sentence that includes a time. A good-enough evening can stay good enough, even if the playlist isn't finished and the conversation never became a turning point.

Growth for Lyric is contact with the concrete week: rent, sleep, the friend you already promised. Perceiving is a gift until it becomes a way to avoid the grief of choosing. Pick one thing and let the other beautiful lives stay fictional for now. Shipping a version one won't erase you. What erases you is never letting the song leave the headphones. A walk, a budget, a sent draft: those aren't betrayals of some inner life. They're how that life gets an address.

A common mistake is that INFPs are fragile poets who can't hold a job. Plenty of you run households, clinics, classrooms, and night shifts. The inner life is strong. Another mistake is hearing Feeling as agreement. Your ethic can be steel. You just don't always announce it in the first five minutes. A third mistake is treating you and INFJ as the same person because both of you get hit by a sad ad. Counsel wants the thing sent. You want the thing true. That difference organizes whole lives. Money will test this more than any quiz will. A paid job with a mixed mission and a decent boss will teach you more than an unpaid dream with a prophet in charge. Lyric types can get captured by charismatic causes. Keep a private test: would you still do a version of this if the leader left. If the answer is no, you're in a crush, not a career.
