A personality test that does not give you a type
Typewell ยท Updated October 5, 2026
A personality test with no type is for the week you don't want another badge. Twelve Axes gives twelve scores: energy, warmth, honesty, order, drive, stability, curiosity, imagination, assertiveness, risk, independence, and sensitivity. Each one sits between two poles. Balanced is a real result. There is no archetype name.
How it sits next to the other quizzes
Five Traits is five broad bars. This one is finer, and longer: 120 questions, about 18 minutes. Type Compass is still the quiz if you wanted four letters. Don't treat Twelve Axes as a replacement for that, and don't call it MBTI, Big Five, or HEXACO. It is a map you can read without marrying a code.
How to read a middle score
A score near 50 can mean you weren't sure, or that the two sides cancelled. If you picked Not sure three or more times on one scale, the result says so. The loud scores are the ones to watch for a week. The quiz is free. The longer writeup is the same paid page as the other tests.
