Big Five test
Thirty questions, six for each of the Big Five: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. You get a 0–100 bar for each.
What you’ll learn
- How much new ideas and new experiences pull you
- How often you actually finish what you start
- Whether people give you energy or cost you some
- How you handle conflict, and how long a bad mood sticks
How scoring works
Each trait has six items. Some are reverse-scored, so agreeing is not always a high score.
A raw total between 6 and 30 becomes a 0–100 bar: ((raw − 6) / 24) × 100.
A high neuroticism score is not a disorder. A low agreeableness score is not a character flaw. They're descriptions.
The Big Five comes from research, not from the four-letter system. It answers a different question than Type Compass.
Questions
- What is OCEAN?
- Openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism. Those are the five broad traits most personality researchers use.
- Is a short Big Five test accurate?
- Less accurate than a 50- or 100-item inventory. Use it to notice a pattern, not as a lab result.
- Do I need to sign up?
- No. You can finish as a guest. Sign up only if you want the result saved.
