ENFP vs INFJ
Updated September 1, 2026
ENFP (Spark) and INFJ (Counsel) share some furniture and not others. Read both encyclopedia pages rather than forcing a winner. You start the project, open three tabs, invite four people, and mean every yes — until the calendar asks which one gets a day. You catch the thing nobody said out loud, then spend the rest of the evening deciding whether to mention it.
Spark is Typewell's name for ENFP. The letters are Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. Extraverted means people and novelty put energy in your pocket, at least until the crash after the fourth yes. Intuitive means you grab a connection nobody else was going to make, sometimes instead of the parking meter. Feeling means the decision has to sit right with a living ethic and with the faces in the room. Perceiving means you keep doors ajar, because a closed plan can feel like a lid on something that was still alive. Together that's a generator. Generators need a plan for the battery, which is the part the internet likes to skip. This page isn't permission to abandon your own projects. It isn't the official MBTI® and it isn't a diagnosis.
People look up INFJ because the letters might explain why they leave a conversation still thinking about it, why a job has to feel like it matters, and why they're quick with other people's problems and slow with their own. The letters are introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. Typewell calls this Counsel. Introverted means a busy room wears you out and a quiet one puts you back. It does not mean you hate people. Intuitive means you jump to what something implies, often before you can point at the fact. Feeling means the decision has to sit okay with people, not only with the spreadsheet. Judging means you want it finished: the note sent, the next step dated. This is a sketch of habits. It is not the official MBTI test and it is not a diagnosis.

For thinking about yourself. Not a diagnosis. Not the official MBTI test.
