ENFJ vs ESFP

Updated September 1, 2026

ENFJ (Hearth) and ESFP (Stage) share some furniture and not others. Read both encyclopedia pages rather than forcing a winner. You set the extra chair before anyone says they're coming, and then you wonder why you're tired in your own house. You move the furniture for a weeknight because a room that's just furniture feels like a waste.

Hearth is Typewell's name for ENFJ. The letters are Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging. Extraverted: the 'we' fills your pocket, until it empties it. Intuitive: you see the group's next chapter, the student they could become, the culture that hasn't happened yet. Feeling: harmony and dignity aren't extras. They're the work. Judging: you want the night to land — a plan, a role, a closed loop of care. Together that's a host who is also a project manager of belonging. That's a real job. It should sometimes be paid, and it should sometimes be off. This page isn't the official MBTI® and it isn't a diagnosis.

Stage is Typewell's name for ESFP. The letters are extraverted, sensing, feeling, and perceiving. Extraverted means people fill you up. Sensing means you notice the actual room: the light, the song, the food, who looks left out. Feeling means you care whether people are having an okay time. Perceiving means you don't want the night planned down to the minute, because a tight plan can kill it. You make rooms happen. That is not the same as being shallow, and it is not a reason you have to get quieter to be taken seriously. This is not the official MBTI test and it is not a diagnosis.
